Ezgi Su Apaydin
Ezgi Su Apaydin is a Turkish violinist who has a strong passion about chamber music. She is currently the first concertmaster of Folkwang Chamber Orchestra and the first violinist of the Velvet Quartet.
Ezgi was born in the town of Adana, Turkey in 1997, and started playing the piano at the age of five. However, her fascination with the subtle possibilities of the string instruments led her to take the violin up at the age of seven, and her continued passion for its rich and delicate sound has developed into a rich and creative career. Her career as a violin soloist began when she performed with the Adana Cukurova Symphony Orchestra at the age of 12, and has since led her to perform, compete and study in many of Europe’s most prestigious musical centres.
